The KLANIK Group undertakes, with respect to the collection and processing and communication of personal data, to comply with the regulations applicable to the processing of said data and in particular with Law 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended and European Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data ("Applicable Regulations").

KLANIK, a French simplified joint stock company with its registered office at 221 avenue du Prado 13008 Marseille ("KLANIK" or "we"), is the entity responsible for processing, within the meaning of the applicable Regulations, personal data collected from the www.klanik.com website and its sub-domains ("Site"), in connection with the recruitment procedure and the provision of its services.

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform all visitors to the Site and applicants ("Visitor", "You", "Applicant") about how KLANIK processes, collects and uses your data.

  1. - What personal data do we collect?

1.1 As data controller

The personal data we collect concerns our Candidates, service providers, customers and users of our Site. They are as follows:

  • Candidate Data

If You are a Candidate, You can contact us via the contact form accessible on our Site, or when You apply for a job offer on the site of one of our partners or by any other means such as in particular via our recruitment game World Of Klanik or within the framework of a forum or recruitment fair.

Data is collected for recruitment management purposes. It is processed only insofar as is strictly necessary to assess the Candidate's ability to fill the position offered, or to measure his or her professional aptitudes. To this end, Candidates are asked to provide the following information:

  • Identification data (in particular: surname, first name, date of birth, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, photo if applicable)
  • Residence permit / work permit
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Driver's license, if applicable

Failure to provide this information will make it impossible to participate in the recruitment process.

We may also collect other personal data that the Candidate chooses to transmit to us, such as :

  • Its availability
  • Family situation
  • Its geographical mobility
  • Letter of motivation
  • Salary claims
  • The URL of your LinkedIn profile
  • Contact information for previous references
  • All other data included in his Curriculum Vitae

As data controller, we are likely to collect certain personal data of the person or persons in charge within our customer companies or providers, within the framework of the provision of our services or of the participants in the professional events that KLANIK organizes.

Client / provider data can be:

  • Professional function
  • Professional email address

  • Professional mailing address
  • Company's billing and bank details
  • Report on candidate interviews

1.2 As a subcontractor

At the same time, we act as a subcontractor within the meaning of the applicable regulations when acting on behalf of our customers. In the course of our work, we may access and process certain personal data stored on the customer's information system. We act only on written instructions from the customer. The customer defines the purposes and duration of storage.  

2- What will we use the data for?

The purpose of collecting and processing personal data from third parties is to :

  • To provide our technical assistance services in the field of information technology;
  • Improve and personalize our services;
  • Answer questions sent by contact form;
  • Managing the commercial relationship ;
  • Improve our communication and marketing strategy;
  • Sales prospecting;
  • Send information about our offers, news and events, surveys and polls;
  • Prevent and detect fraud and manage security incidents;
  • Carry out marketing and statistical analyses.

More specifically, the collection and processing of Candidates' personal data is intended to :

  • Receive and analyze applications;
  • Recruiting candidates ;
  • Determining candidates' suitability for the position, using knowledge tests where necessary;
  • Keep the candidate informed about the recruitment process;
  • Manage the candidate's file administratively;
  • Send information related to new job offers that could correspond to the candidate;
  • Transmit satisfaction surveys for internal statistical purposes;
  • Check that you have a work permit (for foreign applicants only);
  • If the application is accepted, proceed with the hiring of the candidate and manage his employment contract;
  • Establish statistics on job offers.

Finally, with regard to Visitor data, data is collected for :

  • Improve and personalize your experience on our Site;
  • Produce statistics.

3- On what legal basis(s) do we process data?

We will only process your personal data insofar as this processing meets at least one of the following conditions:

  • You have consented to this processing for the above-mentioned purposes;
  • This processing is necessary to provide and improve our services and to maintain a secure environment;
  • This processing is necessary to comply with the various legal obligations to which we are subject;
  • This processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests, in particular with regard to the processing of Candidate data.

4- How long will the data be kept?

We will only retain and store your data for as long as is strictly necessary for the purposes set out in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy.

5- With whom will we share the data?

Depending on the purpose of the processing, your personal data may be treated confidentially by authorized KLANIK personnel (marketing, sales, customer relations, administrative, human resources and functional support departments).

Your data may also be shared with third party companies acting on behalf of KLANIK, when we use service providers to provide and maintain our services.

In the case of data processing linked to recruitment management, the human resources department will transmit some of the information collected to the organizations informed of the Candidate's definitive hiring (in particular unemployment insurance, health insurance, retirement, mutual insurance). The Candidate, requalified as an employee, will be fully informed of the various data processing operations carried out by KLANIK in the context of and within the framework of his/her employment contract.

Your data may also be shared with our client companies for the purpose of providing services.

As part of this, we undertake to check that all our service providers comply with the RGPD.

In particular, we require all our partners to provide us with sufficient guarantees that the applicable technical and organizational security measures for the protection of personal data have been taken.

  • If required by law, we may transmit data to pursue claims against us and to comply with administrative and judicial proceedings;
  • If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale or receivership, we may be required to sell or share some or all of our assets, including personal data.

Because of the way our company is organized, we may share some of your data with affiliates of our group that may be located outside the European Economic Area.

In this case, we ensure that the third country has a sufficient level of protection in the sense of the supervisory authorities and that appropriate measures and controls are in place in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations to protect your data.

6- How do we secure the data?

We implement organizational, technical, software and physical digital security measures to protect personal data from alteration, destruction and unauthorized access.

Despite all these measures, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Internet is not a completely secure environment, so we cannot guarantee the security of the transmission and storage of your data

We undertake to notify the CNIL, as soon as possible, of any data breach likely to pose a risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals.

7- What are your rights?

In accordance with the applicable legislation on the protection of personal data, you have the following rights:

  • Right not to be subject to a fully automated decision.

You also have the right (where applicable) to formulate general or specific directives concerning the conservation, deletion and communication of your personal data after your death.

  • How can I exercise my rights?

Your requests can be formulated in different ways:

Please formulate each of your requests by one of the means above by joining the copy of your identity card. This allows KLANIK to verify your identity before transmitting any category of personal data. This document will be deleted as soon as your request is closed.

KLANIK may require payment of a reasonable fee based on administrative costs for any additional copies requested.

In case of manifestly unfounded or excessive requests, KLANIK may require payment of a reasonable fee that takes into account the administrative costs incurred in providing the information or refuse to comply with such requests.

  • Is there any recourse?

If you believe after contacting us that your rights are not respected, you can address a complaint to the Commission Nationale de L'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL - competent French control authority):
